Each day the children will be provided with a variety of developmentally appropriate activities in art, music, language, and motor development. Each week developmentally appropriate activities in science, math, and cultural experiences will be provided. No child will be forced to participate in any activity, but will be encouraged to do so.
Occasionally, we will be taking field trips. Parents will be informed well in advance of a trip. If you would like to help on field trips, please let your child’s teacher know.
We would love’to celebrate your child’s birthday. Please let your child’s teacher know, in advance, if you wish to send a birthday snack for your child’s class. Presents should not be exchanged at school, nor are birthday party invitations to be handed out at school unless all children in your child’s class are to be inviied.
PARENTAL PARTICIPATION: It makes a child very proud when his/her parents help out at school. Periodically, teachers will have a sign-up sheet for parents who are needed to assist with various activities such as field trips, parties, etc. We would gratefully appreciate any assistance you can give us at those times. If you have a special talent you would like to share, such as playing a musical instrument, story telling, etc., please let us know. It is important for children to see their parents and teachers work together and that their parents are interested in their preschool experience.
